The Sky tower & bridge

17th of March  -

When you'r in a bigger city with towers & skyscrapers it is always worth going to one of the platforms if you get the opportunity to in order to enjoy the mind-blowing view.

Most of these towers are offices or private buildings/flats/appartments etc. but in theory there is always one open to the public and in Sydney it's the "Westfield Sky Tower" attached to a massive shopping center at the bottom.

Cost (see price list below): Single 26$ including a 4D show at the beginning (3D glasses provided).

The show is about a bird's journey around sydney and the things you can experience there. The 4D aspect compare to the 3D is the fact that you can really feel the movements when you get up in the air or when something happens on screen. 10min of fun, no seats just standing, followed by the corridor to the elevators to continue the journey to the very top floor in about 500m.

With 69$ upgrade you can even book a private sky deck tour outside the tower with savety-lines in other words you walk with a guided tour around the outside edges of the building. Nothing for the faint hearted.;)

I decided to stay inside the tower as the view you get from their is also breathtaking without the weird feeling of falling down as a thick glass-wall will keep you away from even looking down too much. See the images for yourself.

You can even see right to the entrance of the ocean where the ships come in and Mainly.

The only thing you can't see very well is the opera as it's outside at the harboure but I will walk over to the main bridge anyways on my last day in Sydney to walk over it and of course you'r with me on my explorations ;)
